✅ On October 14, 2026, a U.S. federal court ordered the State Department to conduct the Diversity Visa (DV-2027) lottery, for which registration had not yet opened.

✔️ According to court documents, the State Department requested an additional two weeks for preparations, and the court granted this request.

✅ Registration is set to open by November 1, 2026.

✅ Results will be announced by December 3, 2026.

✔️ Each year the Diversity Visa program provides up to 55,000 immigrant visas to lottery winners who meet the established requirements.

✅ When filling out a Green Card Lottery application, you can and should include your spouse and children.
⠀
❗️ Additionally, each spouse may submit a separate application and correctly list their spouse and children. This means a married couple can have two applications in the lottery – one from the wife and one from the husband.
