Law firm Palant & Lust continues to send documents to the immigration court and immigration service

In these challenging times, we at Palant & Lust are trying our best to continue uninterrupted service to our clients. There are still deadlines that have not been canceled or postponed and some immigration courts (New York court at Federal Plaza is one of them) are scheduled to reopen as of tomorrow for the limited purpose of accepting filings. Even though in-person filing is not required, “parties are encouraged to file documents by mail.”

Palant & Lust is fully equipped to effectively handle any of our clients’ needs while maintaining constant communications with them.

Today, we are filing five documents (petitions, applications, responses to requests for evidence) with the Immigration Court and the US Immigration Service. For at least two of the cases being filed by us today, timely response is literally a matter of staying in the country or facing imminent removal.

We wish to remind you that petitions based on marriage, employment, investment, or achievements are still accepted as well as fiancees’ petitions and work visas petitions.

Now, perhaps, is an opportune time to consider applying for an E-2 Visa which allows citizens of certain countries to open and run business in the United States. There is no doubt that when the coronavirus pandemic is over, or even basically over, the business climate in the United States will be conducive to starting a new business venture or purchasing an existing business for a fraction of its real value. Many people throughout the world will take advantage of this opportunity as they have done so in the past whenever the crisis hit our country.

We wish all of our clients safe passage through this ordeal. We wish all our friends and their families to come out of it stronger and more appreciative of the freedoms and prosperity we are afforded by this blessed country of ours. Yes, there will be setbacks for almost everyone but faith, wisdom, and personal courage will guide us through.
