The USCIS has released new immigration fees:
Asylum seekers in the US will now be required to pay $100 to apply for asylum (it was free). While waiting for their case to be processed, they will be required to pay an additional $100 per year.
Initial Employment Authorization Document (EAD) for asylum seekers now costs $550 and is valid for 1 year. Each renewal will cost $275.
Initial Humanitarian Parole Application – $1,000 (it was free). Initial Employment Authorization Document (EAD) for humanitarian parole holders now costs $550. Each renewal will cost $275.
Application for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) now costs $500 (it was $50). Initial Employment Authorization Document (EAD) for TPS holders – $550. For each extension – $275.
Application for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) – $250 (partial waivers are possible)
A new Visa Integrity Fee of $250 is planned to be (it is not yet in effect, the date on which it will come into effect is not yet known). It will apply to almost all foreigners who require a nonimmigrant visa to the United States, including tourists, students and temporary workers (B-1/B-2, F, M, J, H-1B, L-1, O-1).
This $250 fee is in addition to all standard nonimmigrant visa fees. This fee can be refunded, but only after the visa expires under certain conditions. Starting in 2026, the fee will increase annually in line with inflation.
