Boris Palant

is a graduate of the Buffalo School of Law, Class of 1983. Most of his 40 years career has been dedicated to practicing immigration and international Law. During this time he has represented thousands of clients from all over the world, specializing in immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions for aliens of extraordinary and exceptional ability and asylum law.  Among his clients are world-renowned scientists, performers, and artists, olympic champions in a range of sports disciplines, their coaches, business leaders, engineers, and other professionals whose accomplishments rise to the extraordinary or exceptional level.  

Among his asylum clients are lawyers and human right leaders who faced persecution in their countries on account of their political opinion or association with a particular social group.

Boris Palant has been featured in numerous TV and radio programs in the United States and Russia, speaking on immigration and constitutional law.  He has authored two books – Dura Lex, which is a collection of stories based on actual cases he handled and The Bill of Rights – a popular treatise on the history of the Bill of Rights and analysis of the US Supreme Court decisions pertaining to each of the first ten Amendments comprising the Bill of Rights.   He has given lectures to foreign lawyers on various legal topics.

Boris holds an M.A. Degree in Linguistics from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo (1978), and he graduated with honors from Kharkiv State University (Ukraine) in 1974, having majored in English and French. 

Since 2011 he has a title “Super Lawyer” awarded by Reuters on the basis of peer recognition.
